Details about the class: 

Hatha Yoga is one of the two main branches of Yoga that focusses on the physical practice.  The word ‘Hath’ is a compound of the words ‘Ha’ and ‘Tha’ meaning ‘sun’ and ‘moon’ This Hatha Basic class provides a good introduction to basic yoga poses, including gentle stretches and strengthening and balancing postures. 

This class is open for all levels of students.  

 

 About the instructor: 

Tracy is a RYT-400, accredited by International Yoga Academy, Asana Andiappan College of Yoga and Research Centre in India. She accomplished the 200 hours Teaching Training Certificate Course, as well as Master Yogananth Andiappan’s 200 Hours Advanced Hatha Yoga Teacher Training.   Tracy specializes in Hatha Yoga, simply refers to the practice of physical yoga posture, meaning your Ashtanga, Vinyasa, lyergar and Power Yoga.  Its practices are designed to align and calm your body, mind, and spirit in preparation for meditation. 

Tracy is an athletic person who has participated in many different kinds of sports e.g. running, water diving, tennis, table tennis, wakesurfing and swimming etc.  Until she seriously started her yoga journey years ago, she decided to devote her entire life to teaching and practising Yoga.  Tracy always tells her friends and students that Yoga is not just about physical body training, but also helps to release the negativity and to become more mindful and focussed on the moment in life.  Tracy also contributes to the Andiappan Yoga Community as a volunteer teaching overseas workers and the homeless.  She looks forward to sharing her passion for yoga with anyone who looks forward to having a more balanced, positive and happy life.

You are recommended to bring your own equipment such as yoga mat and yoga brick, towel and spare clothes. A limited number of yoga mats will be provided but there may not be enough to supply to all participants. Please keep warm and wear comfortable sportswear to enjoy the workshop.
