Privacy Policy

This policy sets out the basis on which The Ticket Company Limited, a company incorporated under the laws of Hong Kong with its registered office at Suite 22A, 22nd Floor, 33 Des Voeux Road West, Sheung Wan, Hong Kong (Company Registration Number 2597142) (together with our subsidiaries and holding company from time to time, collectively “Zicket”, “we” or “us”) collects personal data from you and how we process it.

By visiting our website www.zicket.co (our “Site”), you accept and consent to the practices set out below.

1. Collection of information

1.1 For the purposes outlined in Clause 2, we may collect and process the following information about you:

(a) Information you give us — information you provide (which may include your name, address, email address and telephone number, and payment information) by filling in forms on our Site, or by corresponding with us by phone, email or otherwise, for example: (i) when you buy a ticket; (ii) when you report a problem to us; (iii) when you use certain features on our Site; (iv) when you request support; or (v) when you complete a survey or questionnaire.

(b) Information we collect about you — information automatically collected when you visit our Site, for example: (i) technical information, including the IP address used to connect your device to the internet, your log-in information, browser type and version, time-zone setting, operating system and platform; and (ii) information about your visit, including the pages and content you viewed or searched for, page response times, length of visits, page-interaction information (such as scrolling, clicks and mouse-overs), and methods used to browse away from the page.

(c) Information we receive from third parties — we work with third parties (for example business partners, sub-contractors in technical, payment and delivery services, advertising networks, analytics providers, and search information providers) and may receive information about you from them.

1.2 We only retain personal data for as long as it is necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, and to meet legal, accounting or reporting requirements.

2. Uses made of the information

2.1 We use information held about you for the following purposes: (a) providing, improving and developing our services; (b) processing and fulfilling your ticket orders; (c) researching, designing and launching new features or products; (d) presenting content on our Site in the most effective manner for you and your device; (e) providing you with alerts, updates or information you requested or signed up to; (f) complying with laws and regulations applicable to us; (g) responding to or taking part in legal proceedings, including seeking professional advice; (h) direct marketing (see Clause 2.2); (i) communicating with you and responding to your questions or requests; and (j) purposes directly related or incidental to the above.

2.2 We intend to use your personal data in direct marketing (offering or advertising products or services directly to you). We require your consent for this purpose and you may opt out at any time. For this clause: (a) the personal data that may be used are those you provide to us or we collect from you under Clause 1.1; (b) the services or products that may be offered are our own products, services and events, and those of our affiliates or business partners; (c) the information may be sent to you by email; and (d) you may opt out at any time, free of charge, by emailing us at help@zicket.co.

3. Disclosure of your information

We keep the personal data we hold confidential, but you agree that we may provide it to: (a) any member of our group; (b) personnel, agents, advisers, auditors, contractors, financial institutions and service providers in connection with our operations or services; (c) our overseas offices, affiliates and business partners on a need-to-know basis; (d) event organisers, promoters or venues (“Event Hosts”) for whom you have purchased tickets, to fulfil your order and, where you have consented, for their own marketing; (e) persons under a duty of confidentiality to us; (f) persons to whom we are required to disclose under applicable laws and regulations; or (g) actual or proposed transferees of our operations.

4. Cookies

4.1 Our Site uses cookies to distinguish you from other users, to provide you with a good experience, and to improve our Site.

4.2 A cookie is a small file of letters and numbers stored on your browser or device if you agree to the use of cookies.

4.3 We use both persistent cookies and session cookies.

4.4 We use: (a) strictly necessary cookies required for the operation of our Site; (b) analytical/performance cookies that let us recognise and count visitors and see how they move around the Site; (c) functionality cookies that recognise you when you return and remember your preferences; and (d) targeting cookies that record your visit, the pages you visited and the links you followed, to make our Site more relevant to you.

4.5 You can block cookies through your browser settings, but if you do, you may not be able to access all or parts of our Site.

4.6 We may use third-party web services on our Site whose providers use cookies, web-server logs and web beacons to help us analyse how visitors use our Site. Information collected through these means (including IP addresses) is disclosed to those providers.

5. Third-party sites

Our Site or our communications with you may contain links to third-party websites over which we have no control. Those sites have their own policies, and we accept no responsibility or liability for their practices. We encourage you to read their privacy policies.

6. Security

6.1 Information you provide to us is stored on our secure servers.

6.2 Payment transactions are encrypted using TLS/SSL technology. Payment card details are processed by our third-party payment provider and are not stored by Zicket.

6.3 Where you have a password that enables you to access certain parts of the Site, you are responsible for keeping it confidential and should not share it.

6.4 We restrict access to personal information to employees, service providers and contractors on a strictly need-to-know basis, who are subject to confidentiality obligations.

6.5 We review our information collection, storage and processing practices from time to time to guard against unauthorised access, processing or use.

6.6 The transmission of information over the internet is not completely secure. Although we do our best to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee the security of data transmitted to our Site; any transmission is at your own risk.

7. Data transfer

7.1 The data we collect from you may be transferred to, and stored at, a destination outside Hong Kong, and may be processed by persons referred to in Clause 3 who operate outside Hong Kong.

7.2 By submitting your personal data you agree to this transfer, storage or processing outside Hong Kong. We take steps reasonably necessary to ensure your data is treated securely in accordance with this policy.

8. Your rights

8.1 You have the right to: (a) check whether we hold personal data about you; (b) access any personal data we hold about you; (c) require us to correct any inaccuracy or error in your personal data; and (d) opt out of direct marketing at any time.

8.2 Any request under Clause 8.1 may be subject to a small administrative fee to meet our cost in processing it, as permitted by law.

9. Changes to our privacy policy

We may amend this policy from time to time by posting the updated policy on our Site. By continuing to use our Site after the changes come into effect, you agree to be bound by the revised policy.

10. Languages

In case of discrepancies between the English and Chinese language versions of this policy, the English version prevails.
