Stand-up comedy comes to Tai Po! Comedy for the New Territories by comedians from the New Territories!
Our comedians have performed on comedy stages all over Hong Kong, Asia and around the world... and for this event, they're bringing the funny back "home" to the New Territories!
Please note: social distancing regulations will be in effect for this event, including mask wearing, Vaccine Pass and use of LeaveHomeSafe.
Your comedians for the show:
Pete Grella, winner of the Hong Kong Comedy Competition (2021), is a Hong Kong-based stand-up comedian and improviser who has been cutting up audiences around Asia for over 12 years. In addition to being a regular performer in Hong Kong, Pete has performed in New York City, Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Dongguan, Xiamen, Bangkok, Ho Chi Minh City, Kathmandu, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Fukuoka, Seoul and at the MGM Macau. Pete’s sets often dissect life as an expat (and just trying to fit in, in general), though he’s never afraid to poke fun at himself and his own bad habits. He also likes to engage the audience, so if you're sitting up front, be ready to chat! IG: @petegrellacomedian
Steve Lee is a trilingual Stand-up Comedian in English, Cantonese and Mandarin. He is also a disabled motivational speaker and actor working in the US and Hong Kong. His comedy is centered around his experiences in both continents dealing with discrimination, and his content is remarkably original.
Rose Rage has been performing stand-up and improv for fifteen years, mostly in pants. Following a short, ill-conceived and poorly received pantsless appearance, she now performs in dresses. Rose Rage is almost certainly one of the top ten red-headed, over 60, American, trans comedians in Hong Kong. Probably.
Bianca Lau is a stand-up comedian, comedy actress, writer and producer. She started her 1st shows in New York City at Gotham Comedy Club and The Stand. She is now a club regular at TakeOut Comedy HK, a member of Bitches in Stitches, a producer at Hot N Spicy Comedy and a key member of Yellow Widow. IG: @biancalaucomedy
Asher Chan has performed on comedy shows in Hong Kong, Iceland, Japan and places in the UK that you haven't heard of. She co-produces comedy shows in Hong Kong that sometimes go okay.
Asher's a mum of 3 kids, one of which she actually likes. She's the world's first and only white English teacher in South East Asia, despite possessing no relevant qualifications.
She also runs her own photography business, so she can legally shoot kids.
Sathish Kumar: Watch this small village boy from India share his experience after living in Sheung Shui for 5 years! An up and coming star in the Hong Kong comedy scene, Sathish is not to be missed!
